Kamloops Christian School is hiring a part‑time outdoor education teacher (0.4 FTE) to lead the “Wonder Walk” programme starting 24 August 2026. The role involves providing place‑based and transformative outdoor learning for students, guiding them in the appreciation of God’s creation and stewardship of the setting.
Responsibilities
- Teach outdoor education sessions two days per week.
- Engage students in transformational learning and model Christian faith.
- Navigate various terrains and weather conditions, ensuring student safety.
- Integrate “Teaching for Transformation” principles into lesson plans.
Qualifications
- Physically able to work outdoors in all weather seasons.
- BC teaching certificate.
- Class 4 driving licence preferred but not required.
- Commitment to the Christian worldview and the school’s mission.

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $21,920.80 – $38,414.40 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
- Prep time during school day: 12.5 % of one semester (prorated)
- Priority childcare ($10‑a‑day) and before/after school care ($7‑a‑day) on site as available.
