Our valued client is looking for an Intermediate Business Analystto support business process automation, reporting, data analysis, and AI-enabled business improvement initiatives.

initial 4 month contract,4 days a week onsite in Ottawa.

Responsibilities:

- Support business analysis activities for data, reporting, workflow automation, analytics, and AI-enabled improvement initiatives.
- Business Analysis & Solution Delivery: Assist with requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation, helping translate business needs into clear, structured requirements for data engineering, analytics, automation, and AI stakeholders.
- AI & Agent Enablement: Contribute to AI and agent-related initiatives by helping document use cases, business context, expected outputs, validation needs, and adoption considerations.
- AI & Data Governance: Support data and AI governance activities by documenting data definitions, business rules, validation requirements, traceability needs, and responsible use considerations.
- Data Analysis, KPIs & Reporting: Support the definition and validation of KPIs, dashboards, reports, data extracts, and operational analytics used for performance tracking and business decision-making.
- Workflow Automation: Help identify manual, recurring, or error-prone business activities and document requirements for automation, including alerts, handoffs, exception scenarios, validation checks, and expected business outcomes.

Must Have Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- New graduate or early-career professional with up to three years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, reporting, operations, process improvement, or a related role.
- Co-op, internship,



academic project, or work experience involving business analysis, reporting, dashboards, data review, process documentation, or operational support is considered an asset.
- Foundational understanding of business analysis concepts, including requirements gathering, process documentation, use cases, business rules, and solution validation.
- Interest in business data, reporting, dashboards, KPIs, workflow automation, and AI-enabled business capabilities.
- Comfortable working with Excel and Microsoft Office tools; exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools is an asset.

Nice to Have Skills:

- Experience working in the telecommunications or utilities industry
- Bilingual in English and French an asset
