Application Support Analyst (SQL & Business Systems)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Application Support Analyst to join a growing IT team supporting critical business applications across a dynamic manufacturing environment. This permanent, full time role is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys troubleshooting issues, supporting end users, improving business processes, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure applications and systems operate effectively.

While SQL experience is important, this is primarily a support-focused role centered on maintaining and enhancing business applications, investigating issues, and delivering a high level of service to users across the organization.

Location

- Onsite position in the Milton, Ontario area
- Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance

Compensation

- $70,000 - $100,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

- Provide day-to-day support for internally developed and third-party business applications
- Serve as a primary point of contact for application-related issues, incidents, and service requests
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, system, and data-related issues in a timely mannerInvestigate and analyze incidents through the organization's ticketing system
- Partner with business users to understand challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Write and modify SQL queries to support troubleshooting, reporting, and data analysis activities
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
- Support integrations between business systems and web-based applications
- Assist with application testing, upgrades, deployments, and user acceptance activities
- Create and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and support procedures
- Liaise with third-party software vendors to resolve complex issues and coordinate support activities
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Required Qualifications





- 2+ years of experience in application support, business systems support, IT analysis, or a related technical support role
- Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot data-related issues
- Experience supporting business-critical applications and end users
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience working with ticketing systems and incident management processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Power BI or reporting tools
- Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments
- Experience working with ERP, MES, or other business-critical systems
- Experience coordinating with third-party software vendors
- Familiarity with IT service management, helpdesk, or support frameworks
