Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst with experience and a background in accounting or finance to join a leading Canadian company in its sector. You will participate in a current project that will have a significant impact on the world of finance.

Role and Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will play a key role in gathering business requirements, translating them for functional teams, conducting tests, producing documentation, and providing training to all stakeholders.

Job Title: Business Analyst

Salary: CA$40.00/hr - CA$80.00/hr (depending on experience and consultant status)

Location: Downtown Montreal - requires presence at the office twice a week

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze information and measure the effectiveness of existing operational processes to develop sustainable improvements
- Collect and analyze process data to develop and recommend practices and procedures focused on improving security, increasing productivity, and reducing costs




- Participate in the development of documentation supporting analysis and improvement, including operational requirements, functional specifications, process diagrams, and fit-gap analysis
- Develop and coordinate the change management strategy, including supporting the development of training and change management activities to accompany new processes and procedures
- Participate in cost-benefit analysis to determine operational needs and support the implementation of changes
- All other related duties

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or PMP designation is a plus
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a finance or accounting business analyst
- Bilingualism in French and English (partners located in other Canadian provinces)
- Strong sense of autonomy, ability to simplify and synthesize information, and a solid sense of work organization
