We are seeking an Intermediate Wastewater Process Engineer to join our Kitchener office and support a variety of municipal wastewater treatment projects across Ontario and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the planning, design, and optimization of municipal wastewater treatment facilities.
- Develop process designs, calculations, technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;).
- Conduct wastewater treatment process modeling, hydraulic analyses, and process evaluations.
- Prepare design criteria, equipment sizing calculations, specifications, and tender documents.
- Participate in condition assessments, feasibility studies, pilot testing programs, and master planning assignments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, and instrumentation engineers.
- Support construction services activities, including shop drawing reviews, responses to RFIs, site inspections, and commissioning support.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs and communicate technical recommendations.
- Contribute to proposal development, technical presentations, and business development initiatives.
- Assist in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil,



Environmental, Water, Chemical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario, or eligibility to obtain registration within a reasonable timeframe.
- 5–8 years of relevant wastewater process engineering experience, preferably in municipal infrastructure consulting.
- Project management experience or project coordination responsibilities considered a strong asset.
- Experience preparing engineering studies, design reports, specifications, and contract documents.
- Familiarity with Ontario regulatory requirements, including MECP guidelines and wastewater treatment standards.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with process modeling software such as BioWin, GPS‑X, or similar platforms.
- Previous consulting engineering experience.
- PMP certification or progress toward certification is an asset.
- Experience in client relationship management and business development activities.

Salary Range

The base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $110,000. It reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
