Position Overview
Merrithew is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture team. In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment across our global organization.
This position is ideal for a recruitment professional who thrives in a fast-paced corporate environment, enjoys building strong talent pipelines, and takes a strategic approach to attracting exceptional talent across multiple regions. You are a skilled recruiter with a headhunter mindset, passionate about delivering an outstanding candidate experience while partnering closely with hiring managers to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for positions across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs and develop proactive recruitment strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders across Merrithew and its affiliated companies to support workforce planning and recruitment initiatives.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create compelling job descriptions and job postings that attract high-quality candidates.
- Create and execute innovative sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, social media platforms, professional networks, referrals, and other sourcing channels to build diverse talent pipelines.
- Develop structured interview guides and competency-based interview questions tailored to each role, equipping hiring managers with effective tools to conduct consistent, objective, and inclusive interviews that accurately assess candidate skills, experience, and cultural alignment.
- Develop and maintain an engaging employer brand through professional networking and social media recruitment initiatives.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience by providing timely communication and guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Partner with the People & Culture team to facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
- Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment metrics within the ADP Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, workflows, and candidate engagement strategies.
- Support recruitment initiatives across Merrithew's growing portfolio of companies, adapting recruitment approaches to meet the unique needs of each business.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Human Resources related designation is an asset.
- Must have a minimum of 3- 5 years of experience leading end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Experience recruiting across multiple regions, including Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple requisitions and supporting recruitment across various business units or locations.
- Strong expertise using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); experience with ADP Recruitment is considered an asset.
- Advanced sourcing experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other talent sourcing platforms.
- Proven success identifying and engaging passive candidates with a proactive, headhunter approach.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence hiring decisions and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
