PTW is looking for a Structural Steel Estimator to enhance our estimating team in our Calgary facility. This role focuses on accurate steel estimates and thorough quantity take-offs for various construction projects.
As a Structural Steel Estimator, you will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure precise bid preparations. With your solid knowledge of Canadian structural standards and proven estimating experience, you will manage proposals from initiation to completion while coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare structural steel estimates and detailed quantity take-offs
• Review drawings and specifications for accurate requirements
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal project teams




• Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Analyze historical costs and market trends for accuracy
Requirements:
• 5+ years of structural steel estimating experience in Canada
• Knowledge of Canadian design standards and pricing
• Proficiency in estimating software and ERP/MRP systems
• Solid skills in developing labor-hour estimates
• Experience with commercial and industrial projects
