The Department of Surgery is looking for Surgical Assistants with laparoscopic expertise for its Surgical Assist division. While prior surgical assisting experience is preferred, candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a passion for teamwork. You will provide pivotal support in surgical procedures and ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to established safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage instruments and maintain a sterile field during surgeries
• Monitor patient status and communicate with the surgical team
• Operate specialized surgical equipment as required




• Assist surgeons with suctioning, suturing, and cutting sutures
• Anticipate and respond to the surgeon's needs throughout procedures
Requirements:
• Certificate of Registration from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Prior surgical assisting experience preferred but not required
• Proficient communication skills in English
