and counselling services to adult and pediatric oncology patients and families at CancerCare Manitoba. This role has a particular focus on supporting patients who experience barriers to equitable access to cancer care.The Psychosocial Oncology Clinician II provides culturally safe, trauma- and violence-informed care that recognizes and responds to the social, cultural, and structural factors that affect the health and wellbeing of people living with cancer. Working as part of the interdisciplinary oncology team, this role actively participates in departmental education and research programs and contributes to a welcoming, equitable, and culturally safe care environment at CancerCare Manitoba.THIS IS A DESIGNATED INDIGENOUS COMPETITION THAT IS OPEN TO INDIGENOUS APPLICANTS. We invite applicants to self-identify within their cover letter and/or resume.QualificationsRequired:Level of Formal Education & ExperienceMaster’s degree in Social Work, clinical counselling, or an associated discipline from an accredited educational institutionA clinical internship or field placement from an accredited programCompletion of Indigenous cultural safety and anti-racism trainingMinimum three (3) years of clinical counselling or psychosocial consultation experience within the last 5 yearsUnderstanding of and experience working to address the impacts of colonization, systemic racism, and historical trauma on the health and wellbeing of impacted individuals and communities is preferredExperience working with Indigenous communities and/or other equity-deserving populations is an assetAn acceptable equivalent combination of education, training and experience – including lived experience – will be consideredSkills And AbilitiesExpertise in psychosocial consultation, clinical assessment, clinical intervention, and counselling within an interdisciplinary health care environmentDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with health care providers, community organizations, and service partners to support patient careExtensive knowledge of community resources available to support cancer patients and their familiesDemonstrated understanding of health equity, social determinants of health,
