Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Registered Nurse to join our combined medical/surgical unit at Arrow Lakes Hospital in Nakusp, BC. This position may be eligible for relocation allowance.

Responsibilities

- Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of client care
- Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Ensures the delivery of client–centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs
- Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities

Shifts





Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

Location

Arrow Lakes Hospital is a small rural hospital located in Nakusp serving a population of about 5,000. Services provided include Acute Care 24/7, ER, Mental Health and Addictions Services, Occupational Therapy, Home Care, Residential Care, Physiotherapy and Infusion Clinic with visiting specialists. The hospital has 6 acute care beds and a 5 bed ED offering services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is supported by the Arrow Lakes Hospital Foundation and Auxiliary. Inpatient and emergency visits are generally of low acuity, though 20% of ER patients come from trauma or medical emergencies requiring transfer to higher-level care. A new helipad is available, supported by a Critical Care Transport system.
