This position is provisionally Hybrid, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Penetration Tester to support a large‑scale Threat & Risk Assessment engagement within a security‑restricted environment. This role supports a dedicated Red Team mandate, delivering hands‑on technical penetration testing across enterprise systems that underpin mission‑critical justice and court services. The successful consultant will contribute directly to identifying, validating, and clearly communicating real‑world security risks and remediation strategies.

Role Summary

The Senior Penetration Tester is responsible for executing in‑depth technical penetration tests and supporting the analysis, documentation, and reporting of identified vulnerabilities. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise, disciplined adherence to rules of engagement, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute hands‑on penetration testing activities under the direction of the Red Team Leader
- Perform security testing across:
- Network infrastructure
- Web and application environments
- Integrated and related systems

- Conduct social engineering assessments and support physical security testing where applicable




- Apply industry‑standard penetration testing tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Document:

- Risk ratings and impact
- Supporting evidence

- Contribute to professional penetration‑testing reports, presentations, and executive briefings
- Provide clear, actionable remediation recommendations aligned to risk severity
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all security policies, rules of engagement, and controlled‑workplace requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

- Minimum 6 years of experience performing penetration‑testing engagements
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on, technical penetration‑testing experience
- Demonstrated expertise in:
- Network penetration testing
- Application security testing
- Cloud security testing

- One or more recognized industry certifications, such as:

- OSCP
- GPEN
- or equivalent

- Ability to successfully obtain Enhanced Security Check (ESC) clearance
- Hybrid and on‑site work within Alberta as required
- Engagement involves security‑restricted systems and environments
- Compliance with all applicable public‑sector security, privacy, and confidentiality requirements is mandatory
