Location: Surrey, BC (Central City Tower) — on the Fraser Health footprint

Salary: CAD $51.37 - $64.19 per hour

Summary: Are you looking to showcase your clinical hospital pharmaceutical skills? This part-time opportunity is to join our team at Central City Tower in Surrey, BC.

Responsibilities

- Provide individualized pharmacotherapy and client medication counselling
- Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to develop, implement and monitor therapeutic plans
- Assist in developing drug therapy guidelines for disease conditions
- Prepare case studies and articles for professional journals; contribute to knowledge sharing
- Act as a department resource in the assigned area
- Participate in medication use evaluations, quality improvement initiatives and clinical drug trials
- Mentor and supervise pharmacy students, residents and new staff
- Ensure prescriptions are validated and dispensed accurately; address medication safety concerns with the health care team; document professional practice activities

Qualifications

- Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia




- Completion of an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Broad knowledge of organization policies, evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice, and medication use evaluation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with health care teams
- Ability to organize, prioritize work and maintain accurate records
- Physical ability to perform duties as required
