ROLE OVERVIEW

Triple Flag is seeking a full-time Associate to be located in Toronto, Canada, working in the Corporate Development team. The Associate will be involved in all elements of Triple Flag’s corporate development activities and will join a highly active and agile team sourcing and evaluating streaming and royalty investments globally. We are searching for a candidate who shares our passion for the mining and metals sector, who can meaningfully contribute to our team and who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. The Associate will work in an open concept office environment alongside the entire team, including the CEO and senior management. Triple Flag employs a flat structure where opinions of all team members are valued, and challenging pre-conceived notions or outcomes is encouraged to ensure the Company arrives at the best investment decisions possible.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least 2 years of experience in financial modelling and valuation work related to the mining and metals industry, ideally with exposure to gold, silver, and base metals mining operations.

SCOPE

The Associate will engage in-depth in all facets of Triple Flag’s evaluation of investment opportunities, including, but not limited to: financial modelling, valuation, data analysis,



PowerPoint presentations and reports to support and/or challenge major investment decisions. The Associate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support the corporate development, portfolio management, investor relations and finance functions. International travel will be required periodically. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to self-motivate, manage multiple simultaneous projects, prioritize workstreams and perform under pressure are critical.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Role Responsibilities

- Detailed financial modelling and analysis
- Research relating to geographies, company history, and other details related to potential investments
- Provide accurate and timely analysis of investment opportunities
- Development of accurate and insightful business cases and presentations for investment proposals
- Monitor and report on the deal pipeline, and maintain details of potential investment targets
- Support the Investor Relations and Finance teams as required
- Undertake research on key sector thematics in the industry to support company strategy development and creation of unique conference presentations
- Represent Triple Flag at select conferences, as required
- Assist with portfolio monitoring and management activities

Skills, Experience & Competencies

- At least 2 years’ experience relating to the mining and metals sector, with expertise in financial modelling,



analysis and valuation, generation of presentation materials, and communicating results to stakeholders and decision makers in written and verbal forms
- An interest in and a solid understanding of the structure and fundamentals of the mining industry, including a basic understanding of mining operations
- Ideally, familiarity with Bloomberg, S&P; Capital IQ (or equivalent) and other mining research applications
- Strong commercial, technical analysis and project evaluation acumen would be an asset
- Ability to work well within a small team and manage multiple simultaneous workstreams with minimal supervision or oversight
- Ability to analyze and synthesize large quantities of data
- Fitting in with a small, high-functioning team is critical; agility, open mindedness, a rigorously analytical mindset, attention to detail, passion, a desire to work collaboratively and excellent communication skills are essential attributes
- Relevant degree in Business, Finance, or a mining-related technical field (Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, etc.) would be an asset
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position is based in Toronto, working 4 days in the office and one day remotely (Friday), with a willingness to work in the office 5 days per week as required
- Domestic and international travel will be required periodically and often at short notice
