Position Overview

This is a full time remote role open to qualified candidates globally. Candidates must be consistently available during US Eastern Time business hours.

The Senior Atlassian Project Manager will lead complex Atlassian consulting engagements from initiation through completion. You will own project plans, budgets, forecasts, scope, risks, resources, customer communication, and executive reporting.

We are looking for a confident project leader who anticipates problems, communicates risks early, manages scope firmly, and ensures customers and internal leaders always understand the true status of each engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Atlassian implementations, cloud migrations, and transformation projects from initiation through completion

• Manage project plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, resources, milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery priorities

• Provide weekly customer and internal reports covering progress, upcoming work, budget status, risks,



blockers, decisions, and required actions

• Track actual hours against estimates and calculate the remaining effort required to complete each project

• Communicate budget, timeline, staffing, and delivery risks before they become customer issues

• Identify work outside the approved scope and obtain written approval before the team proceeds

• Lead project kickoffs, status meetings, planning sessions, UAT, migration readiness, cutover, hypercare, and project closure

• Coordinate consultants, architects, developers, customer stakeholders, and Atlassian representatives

• Ensure every activity has a clear owner, deadline, status, estimate, and expected outcome

• Maintain accurate project documentation in Jira and Confluence

• Create recovery plans for projects that are delayed, over budget, understaffed, or at risk

• Build trusted relationships with customer executives, technical stakeholders, and internal delivery teams

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project or program management experience in technology consulting, cloud implementation, or professional services

• At least 3 years of experience managing Atlassian projects

• Strong working knowledge of Jira,



Jira Service Management, Confluence, and Atlassian Cloud

• Experience managing enterprise customers and complex technical delivery teams

• Proven experience managing budgets, forecasts, scope, schedules, resources, risks, and change requests

• Experience with Atlassian implementations or Data Center to Cloud migrations

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

• Solid executive communication, customer management, organization, ownership, and follow through

• Availability during US Eastern Time business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum, SAFe, or comparable project management certification

• Active Atlassian certifications

• Previous experience working for an Atlassian Solution Partner

• Experience managing enterprise or Fortune 500 customers

• Experience with fixed price and time and materials engagements

• Experience with Rovo, Strategy Collection, or enterprise AI initiatives
