Working with individuals experiencing mental health, addiction, and trauma-related challenges, the role promotes stability, wellness, and community integration through a relationship-based and trauma-informed approach.The Community Support Worker collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support resident goals, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, and contribute to effective program delivery.Schedule4 days on 2 days off rotation; 3:00PM – 11:30PMThis is a shift working position and schedule may vary according to program needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide relationship-based, trauma-informed support to residents, promoting wellness, recovery, and daily living skills development.Support residents with life skills learning, including cooking, medication management, communication, conflict resolution, and community engagement.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and healthcare partners to implement and support resident care plans and wellness goals.Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment through positive role modeling, supportive communication,
and community-building activities.Assist with meal planning, food preparation, and maintaining food and wellness supplies in alignment with nutritional and program standards.Support community development initiatives by organizing activities, encouraging resident participation, and building positive relationships with community stakeholders.Maintain accurate communication, documentation, and administrative processes while ensuring compliance with organizational, health, and safety standards.QualificationsEducationDiploma or Degree in Human Services, Education or related field.CertificationStandard First Aid and CPRSuicide InterventionValid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicleProof of vehicle insurance (min. $2 million liability), registration and 3-year drivers abstract.Indigenous AwarenessMedication AdministrationDe-EscalationTrauma Informed CareHarm ReductionFood SafetyExperience3+ years of direct service experience supporting diverse communities with complex and varied needs.Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment and work within interdisciplinary partnerships.Robust knowledge and application of harm reduction, trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based practices.Compensation And BenefitsCompetitive Salary: $47,677.503 weeks vacation + 10 paid sick daysRobust Benefits PackageEmployee Family Assistance Program (EFAP)Health Spending Account (HSA)RRSP MatchingProfessional Development OpportunitiesAt e4c diversity is our strength.
