In this intermediate role, you will design and develop detailed electrical systems for hydroelectric plants, focusing on balance-of-plant systems including medium and high voltage distributions. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, your expertise will ensure project delivery from initial design through to commissioning. Your work will be crucial in maintaining a reliable electrical grid in Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare designs for hydroelectric balance-of-plant electrical systems
• Perform electrical engineering studies and analyses using ETAP
• Develop specifications and design packages for major electrical equipment
• Create engineering drawings,



including single line and wiring diagrams
• Support project activities like commissioning, estimation, and contractor coordination
Requirements:
• University degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. designation
• 7-15 years in electrical design, preferably in hydropower
• Knowledge of North American electrical codes and standards
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is a plus
• Robust communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
