ROLE: Business Systems Analyst

Project: All the banks are going through an Intraday Liquidity Mandate. An "Intraday Liquidity program" refers to the systems and processes that financial institutions use to manage their cash flow during the business day, ensuring they can meet payment obligations in real-time. Effective programs use monitoring tools, central bank services, and technology to manage liquidity sources and uses, such as reserve balances and payment flows, to avoid intraday liquidity risk and maintain market stability.

Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, data, and technical requirements from stakeholders across business and technology teams.
- Support initiatives involving depositories, securities settlement, and the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle.
- Analyze payment processes, including real-time and end-of-day payment flows.
- Work closely with subject-matter experts to understand business processes, systems, data definitions, and integration requirements.
- Perform data mining, data profiling, and detailed data analysis using SQL.
- Create source-to-target data mappings and identify data quality issues, gaps, and inconsistencies.
- Translate complex business and data requirements into detailed functional specifications, technical specifications, process flows, and user stories.
- Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements, validate data definitions, and support solution design and implementation.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, developers, and testing teams.
- Develop test scenarios and test cases based on documented business and system requirements.
- Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and investigate data or system-related defects.
- Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, defect triage, and stakeholder coordination.
- Contribute to QA activities as required to ensure solutions meet business, technical, and data requirements.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, data issues, and requirement gaps throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience as a Business Systems Analyst within capital markets, financial services,
or a similarly complex and regulated environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of depositories and securities settlement processes.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end trading and post-trade lifecycle.
- Experience working with payment processing, including real-time and end-of-day payments.
- Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in data mining, data profiling, and data validation.
- Strong background in data analysis, data mapping, and data definition documentation.
- Ability to analyze large and complex datasets and communicate findings clearly.
- Experience eliciting requirements from multiple business and technology stakeholders.
- Ability to produce clear, detailed business requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, process documentation, and data mappings.
- Experience supporting SIT and facilitating UAT.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
