Agilus is recruiting for a Pipeline System Engineer III in the Oil and Gas Sector in a hybrid work workplace in Calgary, Alberta.This contractor role provides intermediate to senior level pipeline system engineering support for liquids pipeline and facility assets. The position focuses on operational troubleshooting, optimization, and technical assurance, while also contributing to the development and review of engineering deliverables for projects.Total rewards:$ $75.00 hourlyPay Rate range for IC $70 to $75/hr and T4 range $60 to $65/hr1 year contractWork Model: Mon, Tues, Thurs in office / Weds, Fri at home.Location: Edmonton or Calgary, ABA typical day:- Actively participate in scope development of pipeline and pipeline facility projects, including pump stations and storage terminals with valve manifolds, booster pumps, metering systems, and tanks.- Complete and/or review feasibility studies, conceptual designs, process studies, and detailed engineering designs to ensure compliance with quality processes, standards, and industry regulations.- Review and provide technical direction in development of PFD, P&ID, control philosophies, operating limits,



and associated engineering documents.- Conduct technical reviews, with a focus on process engineering, at various stages in the project life-cycle gating process.- Use various tools, including hydraulic modelling software, to analyze pipeline systems for design and maintenance issues, develop solutions, and issue formal technical recommendations.- Maintain proficiency with the use of in-house and industry recognized process engineering tools.- Participate and lead PHA reviews as needed.Successful candidates will have:- 7-years minimum of progressively complex process and hydraulics engineering experience.- University degree in Engineering.- Must be registered as a P.Eng. in the Province of Alberta.- Demonstrated Intermediate to Senior level technical competence in process design, hydraulics, and engineering within the oil & gas industry.- Working knowledge of liquids pipeline and facility operations.- Detailed knowledge of relevant codes, regulations, and standards.Limited travel to other offices/sites/field locations; valid passport isrequired.
