Under the direction of the school administrator for all day-to-day operations and the Caretaking Manager for all technical components, the caretaker is responsible for providing a secure, clean and healthy environment for students, staff and the public and overseeing day to day building operations, working as part of both the school-specific and Division-wide Facilities teams.
What will make you successful:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Interest in obtaining or the completion of:
- WHMIS training.
- Fireman's Certificate.
- Minimum 3 years caretaking experience.
- Knowledge and ability to safely monitor and reset a boiler and associated+ HVAC system.
- Ability to safely operate floor cleaning,
stripping and waxing equipment and outdoor equipment such as snow blowers and lawnmowers.
- Ability to perform basic building maintenance and repair functions.
- Ability to manage confidential material and maintain staff and student privacy.

- Hourly rate range: $22.91- $26.79.

- Hours of work are 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 12 months per year.
