We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, and handle administrative duties with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. Experience with dental office software and medical terminology is highly valued to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient service.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional front desk customer service
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic
Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and take messages accurately
Verify patient insurance information and process payments efficiently
Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with privacy regulations
Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
Handle administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Collaborate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations
Skills
Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar front desk role within a dental or medical office setting
Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and healthcare documentation
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to multitask effectively in a rapid-paced setting
Prior administrative experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Pay: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
