Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced HDD Operator / Locator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience operating Ditchwitch horizontal directional drills and using Falcon locators. A solid background in underground utility work with particular experience in natural gas utilites and line locating is preferred.
Responsibilities
Operate HDD equipment, and perform locating duties on job sites
Interpret plans, locate existing underground utilities, and maintain accurate bore paths
Work closely with crew members to complete trenchless installations safely and efficiently.
Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment
Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
Maintain detailed logs of operations, equipment usage, and maintenance activities
Qualifications
Minimum five years of HDD operating and locating experience
Experience working with natural gas utilities strongly preferred
Experience doing underground locates
Class 5 license and reliable transportation
Solid teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
