The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the uninterrupted throughput of all work assigned to this role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

This position contributes significantly to the overall production of Bridgenorth. If processes are not operating effectively and efficiently, it may result in lost production or delayed distribution of products, impacting customer satisfaction and delivery timelines, which can have a meaningful effect on Bridgenorth's business and profitability.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished parts against engineering drawings and specifications
Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipment, to verify dimensions and tolerances
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to confirm machines are producing parts within specification
Document inspection results accurately in quality logs and inspection reports
Identify and flag non-conforming parts, and report findings to the Quality Inspector Lead and the relevant machinist or Lead-Hand
Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments and flag equipment due for calibration
Support root cause investigations for recurring quality issues by providing accurate inspection data
Maintain traceability by properly labelling and segregating inspected, rejected, and approved parts
Communicate quality concerns clearly and promptly to production staff to minimize scrap and rework
Maintain secure operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
Any other tasks delegated by the Quality Inspector Lead
Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
