Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our construction team. The Carpenter will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures on residential and commercial projects. This role requires solid technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely with tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous carpentry experience, knowledge of building codes, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality workmanship.

Duties
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project layout and requirements.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
Build, install, and repair structures such as walls, floors, roofs, doors, windows, staircases, and cabinets.
Operate power tools and hand tools safely to carry out carpentry tasks.
Fit and install trim, hardware, and finishing materials.
Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and work area to ensure safety.
Follow building codes, safety regulations, and company procedures.
Collaborate with supervisors, site managers,



and other trades on construction projects.

Skills
Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
Skilled in the use of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials.
Positive mathematical, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks, including lifting and working at heights.
Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate workmanship.
Teamwork and communication skills.

Requirements
Completion of secondary school (high school) required.
Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program OR a combination of several years of experience in the trade.
Trade certification (Carpenter – Red Seal) is an asset but not mandatory.
Minimum 2–3 years of relevant carpentry experience preferred.
Ability to work full-time, permanent, and in various weather conditions.
Must adhere to all workplace safety requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00 per hour
