The Pharmacy Technician I provides technical and operational assistance to the Pharmacy Department in the preparation, checking, distribution and procurement of pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Demonstrated experience supporting medication preparation, dispensing accuracy, inventory management, and medication distribution processes in alignment with regulatory standards and best practices. Solid attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment. Robust organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Recent hospital pharmacy experience. Use of Epic software/familiarity with Connect Care workflows.
