Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, warehouse operations, and equipment handling, including forklift operation and heavy lifting. As an Owner Operator Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Duties
Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods between locations according to schedule
Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring proper securing of items
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery status and any issues
Assist with warehouse activities such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining cleanliness
Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and professionally
Adhere to all safety protocols and transportation laws to maintain a safe working setting
Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably as an Owner Operator or similar role
Warehouse experience including moving inventory and operating forklifts is highly desirable
Robust communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes
Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management is a plus
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Prior experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous
