This position is located in Woodbridge, Ontario. Day, afternoon and evening shifts are available.
Summary
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setup and operation of vertical CNC milling machines.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with little supervision
Read process sheets, engineering drawings and/or sketches of part to determine final product
Review specifications to determine set up procedure, correct tooling, machining sequence and dimensions of finished product
Responsible for creating and editing programs
Ensure effective production of quality parts by checking drawings or sketches, using gauges and other measuring equipment
Qualifications
Completion of Technician/Technologist diploma or CNC Machining/Tool Making Certificate
Minimum of Five (5) year experience in CNC machining
Proficient in use of Hypermill CAM software or other CAM software
Experienced in using Heidenhain, Fanuc or Siemens controls
Experience in machining components to tight tolerances
