RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete all aspects of part-to-part mold changes while continually thinking about improving mold change items
Maintain complete mold change, mold set-up, prevention maintenance, mold book, mold board, mold movement and shim records
Convey accurate information to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Manager on the overall operations of the molds and set-ups and be able to present problem solving ideas for any issues that may arise
Perform all aspects of mold pre-inspections, preventative maintenance, shimming and shipments to corporate standards
Be knowledgeable in the working and installation of auxiliary equipment
Perform any other tasks as directed by supervisor
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Have experience of the operations of molds and injection machines pertaining to the ability to do full part to full part set-ups
Be knowledgeable in the use of measuring tools
Be able to read mold prints
Be creative,
organized self-starter that can work with little or no supervision
Requires good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a cooperative environment.
Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and good manufacturing practices.
Valuable verbal and written communication skills.
Certificates or licenses appropriate to manufacturing industry
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work alone, or in a team environment with limited supervision
Strong critical thinking skills
Solid interpersonal skills. Able to communicate and work with others, and be assertive, as required.
Must have good problem solving and reasoning skills
Fluent in English, with the ability to read, write and communicate
Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing workplace
