Commercial Carpenter (3rd Year Apprentice to Journeyman)
Gibraltar Projects Inc. is seeking experienced Commercial Carpenters to join our growing team. We are currently hiring motivated individuals who take pride in their workmanship, work safely, and are committed to delivering high-quality commercial construction projects.
We are looking for 3rd Year Apprentices, 4th Year Apprentices, and Journeyman Carpenters with commercial construction experience. Successful candidates will have robust technical skills, the ability to work independently, and a positive attitude toward working as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Perform layout of walls and building components
Complete wood and steel stud framing
Install wood backing and blocking
Construct and install concrete formwork
Install hollow metal doors and frames
Install door hardware
Install temporary hoarding systems
Perform demolition and renovation work
Maintain a safe and organized work area
Work collaboratively with site supervisors, project managers, and trade partners
Qualifications
3rd Year Apprentice Carpenter, 4th Year Apprentice Carpenter, or Journeyman Carpenter
Commercial construction experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
Strong knowledge of commercial carpentry practices
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Physically capable of performing construction-related tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working on active construction sites
