We are seeking for an Intermediate Mechanical Designer (HVAC and plumbing) to join our growing team. You will be a key member of our Engineering Team and learn through hand-on and involvement in various projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Design of building mechanical systems including HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, Building Automation
Field surveying to review and audit existing building mechanical systems
Production of engineering load calculations, equipment sizing and selection
Production of engineered drawings, details and schematics in AutoCAD
Preparation of technical specifications
Preparation of technical reports
Coordination with other disciplines
Contract administration duties
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Eligibility for P.Eng. is an assett
Previous experience in building mechanical systems (plumbing & drainage, HVAC, fire protection) design
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
HVAC load calculations (HAP preferred, energy modeling is an asset)
Familiarity with Ontario Building Code (OBC), ASHRAE, NFPA
Valid driver’s license and owned vehicle for travel to sites
