Kichton Contracting is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team. Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Acheson, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium-sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development, to industrial projects. Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform parts runs and other errands using Kichton vehicles
Assist with general duties around the Kichton shop
Assist mechanics as needed
Clean and organize the shop and yard
Clean shop equipment and shop spaces
Wash and clean vehicles as needed
Perform general labour duties
Operate basic hand and power tools
Transport materials and products throughout the shop
Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Kichton Contracting Ltd.’s secure work practices, policies, procedures and local legislative requirements
Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications and Competencies:
Must be 18 years of age
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with Air Brake (Q)
Endorsement
Clean driver’s abstract
Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
Ability to perform physical and general labour duties
Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
Strong organizational skills and willingness to assist where needed
Previous experience working in a shop, construction, or similar environment would be an asset
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
