A Canadian leading distributor in CCTV, Security, Audio, Home Automation, Low-Voltage Wire/Cable, and IT products, is seeking a self-motivated, driven Technical Sales Representative specializing in CCTV, Audio, and Alarm to join the team at our Dartmouth office.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess customers’ needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate products, and negotiate prices or other sales terms
Prepare quotes, process payments and respond to inquiries by telephone, email and/or walk-ins in a timely manner
Maintain and grow sales relationships with new and existing customers
Troubleshoot technical problems over the phone, in person, or through remote desktop services
Develop and maintain technical product knowledge to explain features or complex information to customers in a way that is easily understandable, and answer questions
Keep customers informed about new technological products
Use knowledge and training to help customers
Connect with customers after sale to provide ongoing support
Resolve product and service related issues
Perform other duties as assigned by management

The right candidate for this role will possess:




Minimum 1 year experience
Previous experience in the security industry is preferred
Previous experience in technical sales is preferred.
Strong technical and networking knowledge with IP cameras
Good understanding of IT products - CCTV, Alarm, and Audio
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to interact with people using tact and diplomacy
Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
Ability to work in a rapid-paced setting
Interpersonal skills such as active listening, empathy and patience
Valid Driver’s License
High school diploma or equivalent
Education or experience in IT, computer science, sales, or marketing is an asset
