We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role is vital in ensuring smooth store operations and fostering customer satisfaction. Experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued, along with proficiency in OLG lotto sales, tobacco sales, and cash handling. Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
Operate POS systems efficiently for processing transactions
Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately
Provide product information and conduct product demos when needed
Upsell items to enhance customer experience and store sales
Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism
Assist with merchandising tasks to keep the sales floor attractive and stocked
Ensure compliance with safety policies and store procedures during all transactions




Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service

Skills

Basic math proficiency for handling cash transactions accurately

Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales preferred
