Front Desk Receptionist (Seasonal)

Position Summary

The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests at Shady Acres RV Resort. This seasonal role is responsible for delivering friendly, efficient, and professional customer service while managing reservations, guest inquiries, and daily front desk operations. The position plays a key role in creating a welcoming and positive guest experience throughout the resort season.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Services
Greet guests warmly and assist with check-ins and check-outs
Respond to guest questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and courteous manner
Provide information on resort amenities, rules, activities, and local attractions
Resolve basic guest issues and escalate concerns when required

Front Desk Operations
Manage reservations, cancellations, and changes accurately
Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries
Process payments, deposits, and refunds using point-of-sale or booking systems
Maintain accurate guest records and daily logs

Administrative Duties
Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and reporting
Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions responsibly
Support management with administrative tasks as needed





Resort Standards & Team Support
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area
Follow resort policies, procedures, and health & safety guidelines
Assist other departments during peak periods as required
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work workplace
Qualifications & Skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Friendly, professional, and dependable demeanor
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, seasonal environment
Basic computer skills; experience with reservation systems an asset
Cash handling or point-of-sale experience preferred
Previous hospitality, resort, or front desk experience an asset
Work Conditions
Seasonal position (spring/summer/fall, depending on resort operations)
Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and peak periods
Standing, sitting, and light physical activity throughout shifts
