Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and qualified Host/Hostess Server to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will;
excel in guest services,
possess excellent communication skills,
and have a passion for hospitality.
This role is essential in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy their dining or hotel experience. Previous restaurant or hotel experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The Host/Host will be the first point of contact, managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
Duties
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Handle reservations via phone or online platforms with proper phone etiquette
Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area
Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff regarding guest needs and seating arrangements
Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for reservations and billing inquiries
Assist with guest inquiries about menu items, restaurant policies, or hotel services
Ensure smooth flow of seating during busy hours to optimize guest experience
Uphold hospitality standards by providing attentive and courteous service at all times
Skills
Strong guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a rapid-paced environment
Professional phone etiquette for reservation handling and guest inquiries
Experience in restaurant or hotel settings is a plus but not mandatory
Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
