Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Rigger/Crane Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating cranes and rigging equipment to lift, move, and position heavy materials accurately and safely on construction sites. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations while maintaining strict adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
Operate cranes and boom trucks efficiently to lift, move, and position heavy steel components and materials
Rig loads securely using appropriate rigging techniques and equipment
Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes, rigging gear, and lifting accessories to ensure safety compliance
Coordinate with team members and site supervisors to execute lifts precisely according to project plans
Maintain clear communication with ground personnel using effective verbal skills and signals
Follow all safety protocols related to crane operation, rigging, fall protection, and site hazards
Assist with mechanical troubleshooting or minor repairs of lifting equipment as needed
Requirements
Proven construction experience with a focus on crane operation and rigging procedures
Current aerial platform tickets and fall protection certification mandatory
Experience operating boom trucks, forklifts, and other lifting machinery preferred
Solid mechanical knowledge of cranes, rigging gear, and related equipment
