Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to legal and safety standards
Provide expert advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to healthcare providers and patients
Collaborate with medical teams to develop and review medication plans tailored to individual patient needs
Monitor patient responses to prescribed therapies and adjust medication regimens as necessary
Maintain comprehensive records of medication dispensing, patient interactions, and inventory management
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical terminology standards, and regulatory requirements
Educate patients on proper medication administration, storage, and safety precautions
Requirements
Valid pharmacist license in good standing with relevant licensing authorities
Hospital experience or acute care experience preferred, with a solid understanding of inpatient pharmacy operations
Experience working with pediatric patients or in pediatric care settings is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and pharmacy software systems
Demonstrated commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail
