The work location is at Nunavik and the normal work schedule is on a rotation of 6 weeks: 3 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 3 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Underground Service Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment in underground mining operations. Responsibilities include:
Respond to service calls from operations.
Diagnose issues on the construction site.
Perform repairs on the construction site.
Determine the cause and nature of failures to specify the methods and means of repairs to be done.
Assist colleagues on the site with various tasks as needed;




Drive and maintain service vehicles.
Adhere to the company's health and safety requirements and recommendations.
Perform other related tasks related to the position.

Qualifications
Possess a qualified diploma (DEP) in construction equipment mechanics or an equivalent qualification;
Have experience on a mechanical service vehicle.
Have a background in heavy machinery maintenance.
Showcase proficient diagnostic abilities.
Hold a valid driver's license for class 5 vehicles.
Completion of FMTM mining modules 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7;
Hold a valid explosives permit.
