The primary role of General Labourers is to assemble various CGC Group heat pumps in a manufacturing environment. Specific area requirements of the assembly process will be assessed based on production/order needs and previous experience/training.
Responsibilities may include the following (depending on department):
Using basic hand tools (i.e. torches, power drills, grinders, wire strippers, crimpers, saws, etc.) assemble heat pump units as per work instructions. Could include:
Brazing of copper pipes;
Working on CNC benders or punch machinery in our sheet metal department;
Electrical assembly, such as wiring, crimping, assembly of electrical boards;
Assembly of cabinets and/or ERV’s;
Build/assembly of risers
Proven ability to uphold a high level of safety and awareness at all times and follow all safety rules
Follows all processes and procedures in place and identifies areas for continuous improvement
Compliance and understanding of all Quality, Environmental,
Health and Safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with area Leads and co-workers;
Good hand/eye coordination;
Able to speak/read/write English;
Ability to read and follow work instructions;
Willingness to learn;
Flexibility to move between jobs and switch priorities
