We’re looking for a Line Cook to join our team and help continue the tradition that has made Haugen’s a local favourite for generations. The successful candidate will work alongside our team of cooks to prepare daily production for our wholesale and restaurant operations. This position requires previous cooking experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to Haugen’s recipes and quality standards.
Complete daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, seasoning, and cooking.
Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
Work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health and safety standards.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage.




Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties.
Communicate effectively with kitchen and Front of House teams.
Work independently when required and support other kitchen duties as needed.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a restaurant or commercial kitchen.
Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Food Handler Certificate is an asset.
Inventory management experience is an asset.

Compensation & Schedule
$19–$24 per hour (based on experience), plus tip out
Full time preferred; part time opportunities available.
Flexible scheduling.
Weekday and weekend shifts available.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
