Meta Steel Buildings is a leading supplier of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings across Canada and the U.S. We specialize in high-quality steel structures for industrial, commercial, and agricultural use. We are currently seeking a skilled Welder / Metal Fabricator with CWB certification to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Perform welding and fabrication of structural steel components according to drawings and specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Operate welding equipment (MIG, Stick, etc.) and hand/power tools safely and effectively
Fit and weld metal components to create frames, beams, and building parts
Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with CWB standards
Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and protected
Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines
Minimum 2–3 years of welding/fabrication experience (structural steel preferred)
Robust knowledge of welding processes and steel fabrication practices
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop blueprints
Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts is an asset
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
