We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide exceptional care and support with daily living activities to our father. He is just returning home after a hospital stay for pneumonia. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in his recovery and in helping the family care for him at home.
Responsibilities
Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Assistance in the performance of physiotherapy exercises
Assistance in completing two daily walks using a mobilty aid
Provide companionship and dialogue
Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and maintaining a secure setting
Support him with mobility aids and transfer techniques to prevent falls or injuries
Document care activities, observations, and any changes in health status clearly and promptlySkills
Solid understanding of dementia care strategies
Effective communication skills for collaborating with family members
