One of our client is seeking an experienced Bobst Folder Gluer Operator to join our manufacturing team in Richmond Hill. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating Bobst folder gluer equipment in a folding carton and paperboard packaging environment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, quality-focused, and able to efficiently operate and adjust equipment to meet production specifications and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate Bobst folder gluer machines for folding carton and paperboard packaging production
Set up jobs according to production specifications, samples, and job tickets
Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate folding, gluing, and carton formation
Monitor machine performance and inspect finished cartons for quality
Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments during production
Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic maintenance
Monitor glue application and ensure proper carton bonding
Minimize material waste while maintaining production efficiency and quality
Complete production and quality records accurately
Follow all company safety, quality, and production procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work area
Support and train team members as required
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of hands-on Bobst folder gluer experience
Previous experience in a folding carton, paperboard, or packaging manufacturing workplace is required
Strong understanding of carton folding, gluing, and forming processes
Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and machine-adjustment skills
Ability to read and follow job tickets, production specifications, and work instructions
Basic computer skills
Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
Must have CSA-approved safety shoes
