We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cleaner/Maintenance qualified to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, protected, and well-functioning environment across our facilities. Your energy and dedication will ensure that our premises are spotless, hygienic, and fully operational, creating a welcoming space for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our facilities while demonstrating your skills in cleaning and maintenance. This is a position of 19 hours per week. There is another property in Bradford that is connected to this position. The hours for the Bradford property is 12 hours a week. The total hours per week that is expected is 31 hours per week.
Duties
Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and communal spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures to uphold high standards of hygiene and appearance
Assist with waste disposal procedures and ensure recycling protocols are followed effectively
Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and address urgent maintenance issues promptly
Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, maintenance activities, and safety checks for accountability
Must have a vehicle and be willing to drive to the other site in Bradford.
Experience
Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is highly desirable
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures
Ability to perform basic repairs and troubleshooting related to building systems or fixtures
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
Positive communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues effectively
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Must report discrepancies to the property manager.
