Allora Laser & Spa Ltd. is looking to hire 2 full-time permanent barbers.

Position Requirements

- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a barber or hairstyling role
- Wage: $24.00 per hour
- Location: On-site work at the physical location in Surrey, British Columbia (no remote work)

Work Setting

- Urban area
- Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio

Specialty

- Hair tattoos and braiding with extensions
- All chemical jobs and men's hair colouring

Key Responsibilities

- Advise clients on beauty care treatments
- Analyze hair and scalp condition
- Cut and trim hair according to client instructions or preferences
- Provide custom hair and scalp treatments, including shampoos, waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages
- Shampoo customers’ hair




- Shave and trim beards and mustaches
- Apply bleach, tints, and color
- Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair
- Suggest hairstyles compatible with client's physical features and preferences
- Conduct consultations with clients
- Maintain and order supplies

Additional Experience / Skills

- Hair tattoo and ability to replicate designs from pictures
- Blow drying
- Iron waving/curling
- Chemical jobs
- Extensions with braiding
- Use of straight razors

Physical Requirements

- Fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Standing for extended periods
