Project Manager - Non-Technical:
On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager - Non-Technical for a 5 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Mississauga office.
Project Manager - Non-Technical - Job Description:
The Project Manager - Non-Technical will be responsible for delivering cross-functional projects in Capital Markets and Trading, focusing on Front Office functions. The role involves supporting the lead Program Management team to ensure timely delivery and execution of Capital Markets projects.
Project Manager - Non-Technical - Responsibilities:
Support the Markets Transformation Initiative lead(s) to drive execution of regulatory and business deliverables
Support PM-related tasks for working groups, workshops, and other sessions with senior business stakeholders
Coordinate with stakeholders to track deliverable progress and report statuses and next steps
Maintain solid documentation and organizational skills, including meeting minutes and action logs
Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives
Gather business requirements and draft relevant project documentation
Assist in socializing and approving target state tools, processes,
and controls
Demonstrate analytical skills for problem-solving and analysis of large data sets
Project Manager - Non-Technical - Mandatory Skills:
Solid program and project management skills
Demonstrated capital markets experience
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Experience with the trade lifecycle across products and asset classes
Knowledge of software delivery lifecycle, both waterfall and agile
Experience working with Front Office / Trading / Sales teams
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Project Manager - Non-Technical – Nice-to-Have Skills:
Data analytics/SQL skills
Bachelor’s degree minimum; STEM or Advanced/Masters degree a plus
Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP)
Consulting experience
Understanding of applicable regulations and compliance requirements
Project Manager - Non-Technical – Assignment Length:
The contract is 5 months to start.
