Key Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements at the compilation, review and audit levels
Prepare personal and corporate tax returns (T4s, T4As, T5s, T5018s etc.)
Provide full cycle bookkeeping and payroll processing to various clients
Provide assistance and troubleshoot through accounting software issues with programs such as QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and Sage as well as other accounting software
Calculating and preparing GST/HST, payroll and other government remittances
Work within time and budgets restraints, monitoring progress and ensuring deadlines are met
Develop positive working relationships with clients and staff
Report progress of engagements to Managers and Partners
Other duties as assigned
Key Requirements
Minimum of 1 year related experience; experience with farm accounting is preferred
Post-secondary education with a focus in accounting
Ability to effectively communicate with both new and existing clients by phone, email and in-person
Occasionally will be required to travel to our client's place of business
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Good working knowledge of Sage and QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) and other accounting software
Working knowledge of CaseWare and CCH iFirm is an asset
Strong organizational, analytical,
and problem-solving skills
Personal and corporate tax experience a definite asset

Compensation Range for Role: $55,000-$65,000 annually.
