We are looking for a Personal Support Worker in the Young Finch, Thornhill Areas

Job Summary





The Personal Support Worker/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services to meet the client’s needs.

Responsibilities

- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication reminders
- Ambulation and transporting clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow a care plan
- Documentation and charting

Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (e.g., foreign-trained nurse, nursing student after one year of schooling)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen, or willingness to obtain one
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Access to internet and mobile phone
- Great support and teamwork skills
- Dementia/Alzheimer's experience
- Reliable and experienced
