We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead field crews and coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, carpentry, and general construction scopes on upcoming modular construction and workforce accommodation projects.The OpportunityThis is a hands-on, field-based leadership role ideal for an experienced construction foreman with strong supervisory skills, practical construction coordination experience, accurate material take-off ability, and the ability to lead crews and subcontractors in active project environments. The Foreman will support project planning, onsite execution, safety, quality control, deficiency management, inspections, commissioning support, and turnover of modular and camp facility projects.Work Schedule & TravelRemote, project-based workRotational schedule as required by project needs; Tasu suggests a base 14/7 roster with project-specific adjustments as neededTravel required throughout British Columbia and Western CanadaWork may take place in construction site, remote site, and camp environmentsKey ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate field crews, apprentices, labourers, and subcontractors, including assigning work, monitoring productivity, coaching team members, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specificationPerform hands-on construction work as required, including carpentry, repairs, structural work, modular installations, and general construction tasksCoordinate civil, structural, mechanical, carpentry, rigging, module setting, foundations, decks, stairs, landings, finishing, repairs,
and related construction activitiesRead and apply construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documents to plan, sequence, and complete workDevelop daily work plans and coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, site logistics, and sequencing with the project management teamSupport cost control by forecasting labour, material, tool, and equipment needs; tracking actual usage; and communicating budget or productivity concernsComplete material take-offs, verify quantities against drawings and scope, and support timely ordering, receiving, and staging of materials and suppliesMaintain accurate project documentation, including daily site reports, safety records, progress updates, material records, deficiency tracking, and other required project recordsIdentify and resolve field issues, trade conflicts, deficiencies, access constraints, and productivity challenges in a timely and practical mannerCoordinate quality control, inspections, testing support, deficiency correction, commissioning support, and turnover activities with inspectors, consultants, subcontractors, and tradesFollow all safety policies and applicable occupational health and safety requirements while contributing to a strong site safety cultureMaintain professional communication with project management, site supervisors, subcontractors, inspectors, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding progress, material needs, schedule impacts, and site issuesRequired Qualifications5+ years of related trade, carpentry, civil, structural, mechanical, modular, or general construction experience3+ years of construction supervision, foreman, or lead-hand experienceStrong working knowledge of modular construction, camp facility installation, carpentry,
foundations, structural repairs, civil works, mechanical coordination, rigging, and module settingAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, specifications, schedules, and construction documentsProven field leadership skills with the ability to assign work, monitor progress, motivate crews, delegate effectively, and maintain accountability for safety, quality, and scheduleExperience with material take-offs, labour and material forecasting, purchasing coordination, receiving, and basic job budgeting supportAbility to coordinate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, engineers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and other tradesKnowledge of applicable provincial building codes, occupational health and safety regulations, WorkSafeBC requirements where applicable, and construction safety practicesAbility to work under pressure, prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and maintain efficiency in a quick-paced construction environmentStrong organization, communication, decision-making, time management, cleanliness, and professional conductComfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and digital tools for reporting, documentation, drawings, material take-offs, deficiencies, scheduling, or project coordinationValid driver's license with a clean driver's abstractLegally eligible to work in CanadaPhysically capable of performing heavy manual outdoor construction work in varying weather conditionsPreferred AssetsRed Seal certification, carpentry ticket, or apprenticeship trainingCamp, modular, workforce accommodation, remote construction, or light equipment operating experienceFirst Aid, Fall Protection, WHMIS, or other construction safety trainingAbility to provide own hand toolsWhat We OfferCompetitive wage based on experienceOvertime payRotational scheduleTravel opportunities throughout British Columbia and Western CanadaCareer growth within a growing modular construction teamStart DateTarget start date aligned with upcoming project mobilizations.#J-18808-Ljbffr
