Lead government relations at the University of British Columbia (UBC) as the Associate Vice President, Government and Community Relations. Drive strategic initiatives to strengthen relationships with government partners and advance the universitys mission.

In this senior executive role, you will provide vision and direction for UBCs government and community relations strategy. Key responsibilities include fostering connections with government officials, industry leaders, and community partners while ensuring UBCs advocacy efforts are impactful. As the AVP, you will collaborate with senior leadership to align government relations activities with UBCs strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute government relations strategies
• Build partnerships with industry and government officials




• Coordinate advocacy initiatives across multiple levels of government
• Lead community relations and enhance strategic partnerships
• Implement communication plans to engage internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:
• Advanced degree in Political Science or related field
• 5+ years in senior management roles
• Extensive experience with federal government engagement
• Robust understanding of public policy and university relations
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
