I’m working with a well-established engineering consultancy that is looking to add a Senior Transportation Engineer to their growing team.
This is an opportunity to take on a key technical and project leadership role, working on a range of transportation and infrastructure projects across the region.
The Role
You will lead and deliver transportation engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and construction support. This role offers a robust mix of technical design, project management, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead transportation design projects including roadways, intersections, and active transportation infrastructure
Prepare and review technical reports, design drawings, and specifications
Conduct traffic analysis, modelling, and transportation studies
Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff
Support business development activities including proposals and client meetings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
P.Eng. designation (or eligible) in BC
8–15+ years of experience in transportation engineering
Strong experience with transportation design and traffic analysis
Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, Civil 3D)
Proven ability to manage projects and communicate with clients
